Floral Midi Skirt & Black Cropped Sweater

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. As I'm writing this post, it is snowing hard outside. We are expecting around 10" to 12" of snow this evening. I'm so glad I took advantage of the sun over the long weekend as I am now taking every chance I have to stay indoors. I ordered this midi skirt a few months ago, but never had the chance to wear it since it wasn't warm enough. I've always been a little intimated by the midi length. I was afraid that they would make my legs appear shorter than they already are. Since this skirt is long and flowy, I decided to pair it with a fitted cropped sweater to balance it out.

Top : Forever 21 (here), Bottom : ModCloth (here)
Shoes : Rachel Zoe (here on sale, here in blue)
Accessories : Necklace from Lulu Frost c/o Stylelist (here), Rings from Gorjana

I love the rose print on this skirt and was surprised how flowy it was. It drapes nicely and moves beautifully against the wind.

I'm headed to Boston later this week. If you have any recommendations as to destinations or restaurants, please leave them in the comments below. It's been a few years since I last visited Boston, so I'm super excited. Hope the sun will be with us during our stay there.
Thank you so much for reading! :)

  2. This skirt is absolutely beautiful on you and the length is perfect! Can I ask what size you're wearing? Reviews say it runs small...

  3. Wow the dress's pattern is simply gorgeous. I've always avoided skirts/dresses that length because it was just so awkward on my 5ft frame. I'm even afraid to try maxi's because I don't want it to overwhelm my small frame, but after seeing your outfits I'll definitely give it a try now.

  4. Thank you Kileen! I got this skirt in an XS, and the waist fits perfect. I would say it is around a 24" waist and 25" long. :)

  10. Love the skirt. I'm trying to lean out my closet, but yea... I was definitely giving it the stare down on Modcloth.
