Emerald Bows & Neon Yellow

Hi Everyone! Hope you're all having a great week so far. Just a quick hello with a very simple outfit. I actually styled my outfit around my shoes today. I really wanted the shoes to stand out so I opted for a feminine black and white full skirt. I stayed within the same color family by adding a green calf-hair belt and bright lime green top. I kept my accessories simple which works very well for me during the summer heat.

Last week, I went to my hair stylist and actually got a trim because I felt like my hair stopped growing and lost it's shape. I've been feeling like that for a couple of weeks now, but didn't have the time to visit my stylist until last week. Although I'm still getting used to the shorter length, I have to say, I love visiting my hair stylist. Whenever I get my hair done, it lifts my mood up a notch, and I instantly feel better from the inside out.

Top : H&M sz 2, Bottom : Express sz 00 (last seen here, similar here)
Shoes : Steven by Steve Madden sz 5 (here)
Accessories : Belt from C. Wonder, Bracelet from J. Crew (here), Necklace from Nadri (here),
Rings from Gorjana (similar here)

I first lusted over these shoes earlier this year, but had the hardest time finding a size 5. I realized that Steve Madden doesn't make shoes in size 5 often. I really wanted the Blush Patent one, but I couldn't find them in a size 5 anywhere. When I ordered these shoes, I was hesitant on how the color would turn up in person since colors in stock photos usually differ in person. Nordstrom offers both free shipping and free return so I knew if I didn't like it, I could just ship it back with no problems. Ultimately, I ended up keeping them because I really liked how the color turned up and how three dimensional the bow is, if you know what I mean.

  22. Thanks Erica! Wendy's Lookbook is my favorite, but her pictures are definitely a lot better than mine lol The shoes run true to size and for four inches, I would say they are pretty comfortable. When compared to my black strappy heels from Steve Madden that are also four inches, the arch on these is more friendly. The toe of the shoe also has enough space so it doesn't pinch my feet.

  23. I actually tried on those Steve Madden ones the other day but in a nude...definitely not the comfiest cause that little front strap pinches my feet! Will see if I can find these ones at Nordstrom. Thanks!
