Milly Elephants & Neon Peplum

Hi Everyone! Happy Monday! What better way than to start off the week in bright colors and a fun print? I picked up a few pieces from the Banana Republic x Milly Collection back in May, these shorts being one of them along this Colorblock Maxi Dress and Sleeveless Jacquard Dress. These shorts were the first thing that caught my eye out of the entire collection and sold out almost immediately. I love the fun black and white elephant print. The color scheme makes it super versatile where you can either dress it up for a date or dress it down when you just feel like relaxing, either way, you'll be in for some fun in these shorts! In this outfit, I decided to dress up these shorts and continue with the color scheme in the collection. Neon Lime Green was used in multiple items in the collection, so I went with a neon peplum top. Because the top was so loud and we already have elephants running in our outfit, I kept everything else really simple with black heels and a white & gold necklace.

I don't think I can stress how much I absolutely love a nicely fitted peplum top. This color was a little out of my comfort zone, but the fit of this peplum top does only great things for me. This peplum top is made of a ponte knit material so the peplum holds up really nicely. Not only does the peplum give me a hourglass shape with the illusion of a smaller waist, but it also helps me hide the belt I'm using to hold up my shorts underneath, the shorts runs a little big on the waist for me. Priced at $10.80, I think the confidence I have when I wear this is already a good enough reason to bring it home with me.

Are there any specific items that boosts your confidence when you have/wear it?

Yellow is definitely your color, Christine! The top looks gorgeous on you. I didn't get anything from this collection. Regarding my AT skirt, I might try to shrink it in the dryer this weekend =)

  7. LOVE the adorable shorts! The elephant print is so cute.

I wanted to respond to your question about the Cape (but I'm having trouble emailing you and can't respond to your comment on my blog). Anyway, my favorite town is Chatham. It has gorgeous homes and a cute shopping area. Falmouth is pretty popular too with a cute downtown. We have a place in Mashpee, which is where we spend most of our time. The beaches are nice in almost every town at the Cape. Hope that helps! :)
