Light Denim Weekend : Color Blocking & Hester Street Fair

Hi Everyone! Hope everyone is have a lovely weekend! Today, the Hester Street Fair in New York City reopened for the season until Mid-October. I enjoy going to the fair just to sit down and grab a bite, and sometimes enjoy how crowded the fair is, and how everyone is just enjoying the moment. Of course, going to the fair, I wouldn't be dressed in office attire, so I have here a simple casual weekend outfit that paired so well with the beaming sun rays earlier today. Although we had a few sunny days these past two weeks, I still feel as if I've been blinded by the winter cold for so long that I almost forgot what 70 degrees felt like. I originally stepped out in skinny jeans and a trench coat, but quickly turned around before crossing the street. It was so hot, I pretty much looked a little out of place for being so bundled up. To stay cool from the sun, I decided to switch into lighter colors. I know I said that this skirt wasn't perfect when I wore it last time, but I noticed that I couldn't stop wearing it. I paired this white skirt with a simple navy and white striped tank that I purchased from Old Navy last year and topped it off with a denim jacket for a casual look. As for accessories, I kept it simple with a watch, my rings, a pearl necklace and a mint necklace to match with the skinny belt. Because I was only going to the fair, I didn't need to lug around a huge bag. I simply threw my keys, wallet, sunglasses case, lip balm and a hand sanitizer into my clutch and walked out.

There's something about denim jackets that I love. They've been around for so long, and can never go out of style. They are comfortable and versatile, and if you find the right one, they can be pretty light weight too. I remember having one when I was a kid and wearing it on school trips to the zoo, but that jacket is long gone now. After searching for one for so long, I found this one in Zara Kid's. I expected it to fit more boxy, especially since it was from the kid's section, but it fit me perfectly and the material is so soft. This was one of those purchases that I don't regret because I wore this jacket countless times.

What do you think about denim jackets? Do you own one yourself?

Denim Jacket : Zara Kids sz 11-12 (similar here and here), Top : Old Navy sz XS (here)
Skirt : H&M sz 2 (last seen here), Shoes : Tory Burch sz 5
Clutch : C. Wonder (similar here and here)
Accessories : Belt from Forever 21, Necklace from Forever 21,
Rings from Kate Spade & YSL (here in other colors),
Watch from Michael Kors (here - use code FRIEND for 25% off)

I'm in love with this clutch. I love the navy and turquoise color block on it with the gold tone hardware details. Although this isn't genuine leather, I liked how this simple zip bag can be so handy and trendy. It carries all my essentials when I need to just walk out the door really quick. I saw that C. Wonder is having their extra 50% off sale items promotion sale going on (use code SALE50), but didn't see this clutch available online. However, I did see this in my local C. Wonder stores for $29.99 + an extra 50% off in two other colors, tan/red and black/blue. For $14.98, this bag is such a steal!
Here is the flyer for the Hester Street Fair. If you aren't familiar with the fair, basically you will find a variety of vendors from food to sweets, and handmade jewelry to vintage fashion at the fair and held every Saturday from April 27 through October 26. It's very relaxing and the people there are so friendly and laid back. This is what I love most about the city. The diversity and just how helpful and nice the people are. I mean, you pretty much find everything here.
Pretty blooming tulips at the nearby park. What I love about Spring are the colorful flowers, especially the tulips. They are so pretty and instantly brings a smile on my face.
Here is the Coast to Coast Mobile Vintage Shop located right outside the fair. They have such a cute collection of vintage pieces in their little mobile camper. Inside the fair, you will also find a few other vintage fashion shops, just not as cute as this one.
My favorite. I don't know if you enjoy macarons as much as I do, but lately, I've been obsessing over them. I've went as far as adoring and wanting this t-shirt in white from the Uniqlo x Lauduree Collection but seems to be out of stock. Such a bummer because it is so cute! If you want to get on my good side, macarons definitely won't hurt, just saying. ;)

Finally, here is the most talked about ever so famous lobster roll from Luke's Lobster. Some find it pricey since this roll costed around $15, but I have to say, it is amazing, and totally worth it. They aren't cheap when it comes to the chunks of lobster they give on their perfectly toasted bread. I highly recommend giving this at least a shot. It is so worth it!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures! Thank you so much for reading! :)
