Hi Everyone! Today I have a slightly more fun pairing for you. Everywhere I go, all I hear, see and even talk about is how excited I am for Spring. This past week, I've been noticing how I've been incorporating more and more color and patterns to my outfits during this Winter to Spring transition. Here I am wearing a leopard peplum top and skirt, both from H&M. I added a brown leather belt to tone down the bold leopard print making it a little more office friendly. I kept the rest of the outfit simple with a pair of black heels. I did wear a blazer over this outfit, but of course, I did not get to take a photo with it. As for the blazer, I wore a white blazer because the warm weather really called out to me to wear brighter colors, but a black blazer would work just as well if you are working in a more conservative environment. This outfit is bright and fun and a perfect way to spice up your work day without doing much.
I picked up this peplum top at H&M for $15 last week when their End of Season Sale started. When this top first came out in the H&M Conscious Trend Collection, I fell in love. I loved how the colors on this leopard pattern contrasted making it a bolder top that can easily be paired with simple bright colored bottoms for the warmer seasons or just a pair of black bottoms for a modest look. This top does run on the bigger side and was definitely made for those with a longer torso, but nothing a minor alteration can't fix for petites. The peplum trend has been one of my favorite trends last year that I can see myself wearing for many more years to come. It is so figure flattering by accentuating your curves while hugging your waistline giving you a more hourglass figure. The key to wearing peplum tops is to always make sure it really hugs your waistline so you get the full hourglass figure effect.
