Oversized Overcoat + Quick Tweak

Hi Everyone! Today, I decided to play with a little color and pattern and talk about keeping warm. Here, I am wearing these coated oxblood jeans with an off-white knitted sweater. I added a leopard scarf for a touch life to the outfit. The off-white sweater acts as a contrasting element between the leopard print and oxblood pants. I personally love the leopard pattern with the oxblood color. It is such a chic and classic pairing. Lastly, I wore my oxford booties and an oversized coat to keep me warm. This outfit is perfect for a walk in the city or even just casual brunch.
During those winter days, staying warm is a must, but staying warm and fashionable is not easy. Often times, people are caught swimming in their oversized winter coats, bundled up in layers, looking like they added an extra ten pounds to their body. However, just because it isn't easy doesn't mean it's not possible. Because I have such a petite frame, my coats are often swallowing my small body. Sometimes I hate it because it makes me look even smaller, but sometimes I love it for it's oversized hood. For a quick fix, I added a belt over my jacket to instantly define the waistline. This tweak can easily be done with any belt you have in your closet. To spice up an outfit, you can add a bright colored belt for a touch of fun. I chose a plain black belt for a more subtle effect since my leopard scarf and oxblood jeans are already the center of attention.

How do you stay fashionable and warm during the winter days?

  2. Cute look! Believe it or not, I still haven't gotten into leopard yet - I think a scarf is a great way to get your feet wet, though!
